Dairy Products from the Summer Farm

We sell all our products directly from the summer farm, but also at the local shop in Ålvundeid.

Sour cream

Cream added to culture and acidified to the correct pH, drained.

Yoghurt

Made from pasteurized whole milk from the farm. Natural or with berries.

Butter

The butter is made from sour cream, which is churned into butter.

All the milk from our cows is used at the summer farm.

Five cows are lucky enough to spend the summer on the summer farm, and are milked in the old barn. All milk is processed in the dairy on the farm.

The fresh milk is separated immediately after milking, and we get cream and skimmed milk. We use the cream to make sour cream every day. Some of the cream is used in the kitchen, for baking and desserts. The skimmed milk is also used in the kitchen, both for breakfast and baked goods.
