Welcome to Renndølsetra in Innerdalen
Innerdalen is about 3 hours' drive from Trondheim and Ålesund. Here you can stay, just to relax and enjoy the atmosphere, or as a starting point for hikes in the mountains.

Every summer, since 1740, the family Opdøl have moved their animals to the summer farm in Innerdalen, in the western part of Trollheimen.
Innerdalstårnet is the destination for most people, but Renndalskammen is our favorite! We also have a café where we serve our famous waffles, some pastry and hot and cold drinks. Renndølsetra is located in Innerdalen Landscape Conservation Area, and you have to walk 3.5 km (about 1 hour) from Nerdalen to get here.

Opening hours
The 2024 season opens on Friday, June 21.
The café is open from 12:00 - 16:30 every day of the season.

Sleep well in cozy rooms inside the setra, or pitch a tent or hammock at our campsite by the lake.

The café is the breathing space
In the mountain farm café we serve drinks, mountain farm products, waffles and simple food. Perfect if you only have time for a day trip.

Innerdalen and Renndølsetra are in a fantastic location for enjoying great walks in Norway's first landscape conservation area. See our suggestions for short and longer hikes starting from the setra.

Fantastic accommodation in idyllic surroundings in the "beautiful valley". Incredibly nice hosts who make delicious food! Clean and nice rooms and sanitary facilities. Cozy patio with the best view. This is highly recommended!

After a fantastic trip to the Innerdal Tower, we stopped here to taste the famous waffles, which lived up to all expectations. The surroundings are like something out of a fairy tale.
